HELP - Cacti has reverted back to Installation Wizard

Post by c0ldf1r3 »

My Cacti installation has been working for a few years now. I performed a yum update last evening and then when I went to log back in today the website today I received the default Cacti Installation Wizard screen.

I am wondering if perhaps the MySQL user/pass was reset when I updated Linux?

Not even sure where to start looking as the only change was the yum update.

any help for this first time post is greatly appreciated.

Any update to cacti beings the installation process to upgrade the system to the current level of the sources. You must go through those steps to get back to the front end.

I had the same issue. I wasn't aware that YUM would update Cacti, but it does. Like NetNIV said, you just have to go through the wizard once again. The SQL config file (my.cnf?) may need to be amended as well. Mine did. All else is still there as before.
