Problem with var: query_ifAlias

Post by JeeWay »

Hi,

I have a kinda old Cacti instance running on version 1.1.1
There was no maintenance for the past months or more.
Now I need to make the system more stable and I started making the graph width bigger.(titles won't fit)
This resulted in graph Alias description to show "query_ifAlias" instead of the translation.
The translation is still visible in the Cacti data but is not automatically applied.
I have already rebuilt the poller cache to no avail.
Other topics do not give solution for me (i.e. interfaces.xml does not exist), is there anyone who can help me out?

Many thanks!

My advise would be to update the core version of Cacti. 1.1.1 is quite old.

Thanks for your advise, will try that on short notice.
My Cacti database is running on a Ramdisk drive, when I add it to the fstab, the data should be maintained.
Is there from Cacti some known problem when performing reboot with active Ramdisk?

As far as I know a RAMDisk isn't persistent. Therefore, you would lose the data. If you have some form of non-persistent ramdisk, I've never worked with it so can't really advise on that.
