Cisco 9300 SNMP Error

Post by esp550 »

Has anyone been successful getting any version of cacti (we have tried an older one and the newest one) to get SNMP work with a cisco 9300 switch?

We have tried to connect using with several different options, but keep getting "SNMP Error" when we try and connect.

Thanks!

Try to connect with an SNMP walk from the command prompt of the same system.

* If that works, then you have a configuration issue in Cacti (unlikely)
* If that doesn't work, then the SNMP on the Cisco is not allowing connection from that host.

The host and the Cacti install share the same incoming information, so if one works, 99% the other will as well.
