Threshold/Monitor Alerts

Post by Us3r »

Hi,

I have a question about Threshold/Monitor plugins and the alerts that raise.

After configuring the nodes to monitor I set up alerts to know if these ones are alive or dead, which work properly during a while sending alerts like these...

But in a certain moment, I start to receive these others...

I post to know if you can tell me the reason why this occurs and know if there is a way to receive alerts like the first one only, which is the one I want to receive, because I spend a bunch of time in find the answer but don't find it.

Thanks for your time

Awaiting your response

If you go to Configuration/Settings/Thresholds and scroll down to the very bottom you'll see
Send Alerts as Text
If checked, this will cause all Alerts to be sent as plain text Emails with no graph. The default is HTML Emails with the graph embedded in the Email.Send Alerts as Text
Sounds like it.

Thanks for the reply, Pucho.

Finally the muse whispers me and I think I've found the answer. I going to do some test and if all of them are corrects I'll post the solution. Nothing about 'Send alerts as text'.

Again, thanks for your time

Hi,

Cacti send the second one alerts showed in the post above when the option 'Manage' > 'Devices' > 'Device Monitor Settings' > 'Device Criticality' (within a device) is enabled, so to not receive the mentioned alert you must set this option as 'Disabled'.
