Fresh install failing badly

I'm new here, but I have a problem with the software.

Plus, it can't generate the graphs at all, any of them.

Cacti Version: 1.1.38
Linux Distro and version: Ubuntu 16.04

There have been several reports of this failing under 1.1.38. There may have been an update for 1.2 which is under development that has affected this but it is being investigated.
