Graphics error and snmp error

Post by Sunny »

Hi,everyone,

I met some problems while using Cacti to monitor some devices .
The first question,I use the same data template and graphic template for two devices. The strange thing is that one has the figure with the data and the other is not.The failed one show "Nan".I make sure that I can get the data through snmpwalk and there is no error in the cacti.log.
The second,I got 'snmp error' when i add a new device. But i can use 'snmpwalk' to get data too.I'm sure I have filled in the correct information.(community and version)
Sorry for my bad English.

Pl. provide some suggestion.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, the SNMP Error is a generic error and doesn't tell us much. I recently submitted a fix for that to display the full message.

Assuming you are already on the 1.x branch then the full message was added into 1.1.32 (though I would recommend getting the latest rather than that specific version).
https://github.com/Cacti/cacti/pull/1247

This should hopefully give more information on why Cacti believes that there is an error whilst SNMP walk is working.

Thank you for your help!but I didn't learn PHP so I didn't know how to use it, and maybe my version(0.8.7g) was too low to use it.
