Multiple data sources in one graph

Post by rplc1976 »

Hi

I am quite new to Cacti but have managed to get it running and graphing nicely.

However what I would like to do is say have four different data sources and them all into one graphs so it shows the total bandwidth that these four devices are using.

I already have the individual devices graphs ok, I just want to combine them all into one graph.

Please can somebody help or point in the right direction?

Thanks

You will have to create a new graph, and add the graph items off of the database sources which you want to have the data.

You don't need to use templates for this, you can do it manually. Which is the suggested route.

rplc1976, how did you get on with this?

I have to admit I have the same issue. I think I've worked out how to add the Data Sources manually, but don't seem to be able to select them as Graph Items...which may well mean I haven't done the Data Sources correctly.

I just found another post that deals with this...

"how to add multi-hosts in one graph?"

Got what I was looking for. It's all to do with creating a new graph manually (i.e. not via a Graph Template), and using 'None' and 'None'.

The post above has the answers.
