Hello Everyone,
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to read this, new user to cacti running into some issues getting a deployment set up to watch some Raritan PDX devices. This is all on a Windows 2008 device.
I was able to get an installation of cacti 1.1.28 installed and configured fine (for the most part), but my team requires weathermap support, so I'm attempting to get an install of Cacti 0.8.7h working in order to use the Plugin Architecture files off https://www.cacti.net/downloads/pia/ . To get rid of the 1.1.28 cacti installation, I deleted the C:\Cacti folder (where RRDTool/spine files were living), the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\cacti folder and dropped the cacti table in SQL. I also had to remove PHP 7.2 and replace it with php 5.5.9 in order to get cacti to install. After that, I installed cacti 0.8.7h via the guides (https://github.com/Cacti/cacti/wiki/Win ... stallation and https://docs.cacti.net/manual:088:1_ins ... ll_windows ). I am currently using the following:
- Cacti 0.8.7h
- PHP 5.5.9
- IIS 7
- RRDTool 1.2.15
I am using the Raritan PDX template from about31693.html which seems to be working on the devices in question.
With cacti installed, I am running into two main issues:
1. Graphs aren't showing any text - I believe this is just due to a font issue, but I'm unsure where. I ran the commands to add truetype fonts as part of the cacti 1.1.28 install and changed nothing afterwards regarding them. I've attached a screenshot of a graph in debug mode. These were working on cacti 1.1.28 (Edit - solved this one, cacti didn't have the font paths populated).
2. I can't seem to install the plugin architecture. When I copy the files from cacti-plugin-0.8.7h-PA-v3.0.tar.gz into my cacti directory, cacti's web interface basically stops working right. The last time I attempted this, I was able to navigate links using the menu bar on the left, but the primary pane on the right stays blank, I've attached an image of this as well. I was able to import the .sql file into my DB with no issues. I can revert back to a working cacti (barring the graph issue) by restoring a copy of the /wwwroot/cacti directory. In config.php, I am listing the $url_path as "/cacti/" (folder is C:/inetpub/wwwroot/cacti).
Could anyone point me in the right direction on these? Is there a suggested version of cacti I should be using instead in order to get the PIA working right?
Thanks,
Steven
Edit - It looks like the blank graphs was due to cacti not knowing where to find the fonts, the font paths under Settings/Visual were all blank. I pointed them all to arial and now my graphs look normal. Now I just need to get the PIA working.

Re: Blank Graphs, Issues installing plugin architecture
Weathermap is supported on the 0.8.8h version of Cacti which is the latest version before 1.x (I believe). You may want to upgrade slightly to use that and see if that resolves your plugin issues. Alternatively, check your error logs for both IIS and cacti to see if there is anything being recorded at the time you try to bring up those pages that go blank.

Re: Blank Graphs, Issues installing plugin architecture
Thanks a lot, netniV - that did the trick, blowing away the 8.7 install and redoing it on 8.8h got us to a state where we could start messing with weathermaps.
Re: Blank Graphs, Issues installing plugin architecture
Cool I'm still hoping for a 1.x compatible version ... I may even create a fork of @Howie's to make a 1.x version work as I want it now! haha
