Syslog plugin with SNMPTT

Post by ITATG »

Dear forum
I have Cacti 1.1.28 and Syslog version 2.1 in CentOS 7.
I would like to use Syslog plugin with SNMPTT to log SNMP traps. I have configured snmptrad and SNMPTT, I can see syslog messages inserted by SNMPTT into /var/log/messages and into the snmptt log file.
Now I am stuck because i don't know how to set the Syslog plugin to consume those messages. Could you help me? Should I create a snmptthandler that connects into cacti DB, in syslog_incoming table and insert the trap recevied and parsed into that table? Is there any easier ways?

Thank you

Review the documentation on the docs.cacti.net Syslog plugin page for some assistance.
Before history, there was a paradise, now dust.
