After a new install on Ubuntu with Version 0.8.8f, I saw no items under the tree graph mode, and I also could not zoom into my graphs to see specific times.
This is what I did to fix it. I am posting this so that someone in the future may find this and be able to fix it:
I don't know if this first copying thing helped or not:
sudo cp /usr/share/javascript/jquery-ui/jquery-ui.js /usr/share/cacti/site/include/js/
And then dump and reinstall javascript-common:
dpkg --purge javascript-common
apt-get install javascript-common

Re: Zoom and default tree problems SOLVED
Unfortunately, the version of cacti installed by Ubuntu is quite old now so applying this kind of fix is a manual job if someone gets the error given the current version of cacti is 1.1.28. I upgraded from 0.8.8f to 1.1.28 using the github source and I have had no issues with zoom etc. But it would be good to know if these issues are present on a clean install of 1.1.28 without upgrading.

Oh, how I wish such issues were filed in Debian or Ubuntu bug trackers such that I can investigate and potentially fix it for everybody. Alas.paulstaf wrote:After a new install on Ubuntu with Version 0.8.8f, I saw no items under the tree graph mode, and I also could not zoom into my graphs to see specific times.

Out of interest, which version is currently used in the packages? Last time I used the packages, I was only getting the 0.8.8f version.

Fully up-to-date. But older Ubuntu or Debian releases aren't updated of course.markv wrote:Out of interest, which version is currently used in the packages? Last time I used the packages, I was only getting the 0.8.8f version.

Re: Zoom and default tree problems SOLVED
Oh I see why I got the older version from stable, rather than the newer one from backports. I'll have to see if I had that enabled or not.
