How to obtain last polled bandwidth from SQL or REST

Post by eshanders83 »

Good afternoon,

Is there a way to poll the last polled stats (Current Average Maximum) from Cacti from remote (like SQL or REST)?

I'm trying to import these values from a remote in-house NMS. I do this now but I usually only run this style of script every hour as it's very CPU/IO intensive via rrdtool xport on every RRD and then export the avg high stats into MySQL. That way I can poll top interfaces based on a device IP or sort based on device ip through a common connection.

Thank you,

There is a plugin called Mirage that exports any Cacti polling data to Splunk... I think that's the kinda of thing you are looking for but you will have to write your own plugin for interfacing with your remote system if one does not already exist.
