Help with Plugin Management

Post by kitta »

Hi,
I need help installing real time and syslog to the graphs that are being displayed on installed Cacti 1.1.23. I have copied the files to Apache24/htdocs/cacti/plugins, I cannot find any plugins in cacti Plugin management in the web page after doing this. What am I doing wrong?

Realtime is built into Cacti, so no need to install it. You will need to make sure you are getting the syslog plugin from github as the 0.8.8 version of that plugin will not show up in Plugin Management for Cacti 1.X

Thanks for the response.
I just opened realtime by going to Time graph view. By selecting Realtime, a new window opens saying Access Denied, asking me to login again. When I do login in the new window it takes me to create new devices or graphs instead of showing me the realtime data. Please help.
Also when I try to install syslog by the above said method I'm getting the following error

Validation error for variable id with a value of plugin_syslog-develop. See backtrace below for more details.

(C:\Apache24\htdocs\cacti\plugins.php: 51 get_filter_request_var)(C:\Apache24\htdocs\cacti\lib\html_utility.php: 435 die_html_input_error)(C:\Apache24\htdocs\cacti\lib\html_validate.php: 60 cacti_debug_backtrace)

What should I do ?
