Updating EPEL?

Post by kdsmith »

EPEL still has 1.1.19. What is the process on getting it updated to 1.1.27?

Thanks,
Kevin

It's down to the repo owners. May I ask which repo / system you're using? I ask because I see 1.1.24 in EPEL from here:

Code: Select all

[me@cac2-prd ~]$ yum info cacti
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
 * base: ftp.swin.edu.au
 * epel: mirror.optus.net
 * extras: ftp.swin.edu.au
 * updates: mirror.aarnet.edu.au
Installed Packages
Name        : cacti
Arch        : noarch
Version     : 1.1.24
Release     : 1.el7
Size        : 23 M
Repo        : installed
From repo   : epel
Summary : An rrd based graphing tool
URL         : http://www.cacti.net/
License     : GPLv2+
Description : Cacti is a complete frontend to RRDTool. It stores all of the
            : necessary information to create graphs and populate them with
            : data in a MySQL database. The frontend is completely PHP
            : driven.
And so:

I appreciate the reply.

I'm still using Centos 6.9, so I'm looking at EPEL 6. https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/ The Cacti there is still at 1.1.19.

I'll just do an "old school" RPM update. :)

Thanks again,
Kevin
