Hi.
I'm observing strange behavior of Cacti after upgrading to 1.1.25 (previously 0.8.8->1.1.16).
The problem is, that in 'Graphs' tab all tree items themselves are not aphabetically sorted, and I suppose they should be. All tree items are "devices" with the corresponding graph items, all set to 'Alphanumeric' sorting order. Nevertheless, i see 'random' sort order when opening 'Graphs' tab. When creating new tree, it appears in random place in tree list as if there is not 'ORDER BY name' in SELECT statement.
Could you please advice?
Thanks in advance.

Re: ROOT tree items sort order probem in 1.1.25
I am having the same issue with 1.1.23. The root tree is not able to be sorted, while the 'sub trees' are able to be sorted. Has anyone found a solution for this issue?

After a upgrade to 1.1.28 the issue is still present.
Any ideas on when a fix may be released?

Is there a bug in the bug tracker for this? Otherwise you may be waiting for a long time.FarmerJohn wrote:After a upgrade to 1.1.28 the issue is still present.

Re: ROOT tree items sort order probem in 1.1.25
Sorry if this is a grave dig, but I've found a way to at least get the tree to sort in the 'Alphabetical' order.
In your console, under the Management section go to Trees.
Be sure your filter is set to show all your trees. Setting Trees to 5000 should ensure you can see all of your trees. If you have more than 5000 trees you cannot do this trick.
After setting your filter options on the far right click the checkbox to select all of your trees.
Then scroll to the bottom of the page and execute the action 'Publish'
You will then asked to confirm on the next page. Confirming these changes will reorder your tree alphabetically.
I am honestly not sure if there are any unintended side-effects from doing this, but I have not noticed any.
Until the fix is implemented this may help a few people.

Re: ROOT tree items sort order probem in 1.1.25
I have my tree items sorted, using the Natural Sort at the tree level, with my branches (including root ones) all set to inherit. By default, I think the branches are created with Manual and have to be manually changed.
