How can I submit a request for a change to the plugin

Post by RustedKnight »

I have a simple, or at least it sounds fairly simple, request for the thold plugin. There is already a weekend exemption. Would it be possible for there to be a date/time picker option to be able to set up exemptions during the week as well. For example, I have an interface that during business hours passes a lot of traffic so we set up a threshold on it to notify if it gets less than 10 bits per second. The thing is outside of business hours there is no traffic that passes across that interface. I would like to be able to set up either an array of exemptions to exempt certain time windows from alerting while allowing alerting during non exempted times.

And now that I read this it sounds a bit more complicated than I initially thought. Anyhow, what would I need to do to submit such a request?

The problem with this is that when you set up a maintenance we are unable to find where you can set it on a particular graph not a whole device. We need the ability to control on a per graph basis. For example say we have three buildings (building A, building B, and building C). we have fiber that runs between building A and building B, we have fiber that runs between building B and building C, we have fiber that runs between building A and building C. The company that maintains the fiber between building A and building B is performing work that will cause service across that link to be down. We have thresholds set up on both ends of that fiber. We also have thresholds set up on other interfaces on the switch in building A as well as the switch in building B. Because of the link from building A to building B passing through building C everything will still be reachable. We want to be able to disable the thresholds on the link between building A and building B while not disabling the threshold between building A and building C which lands on the same switch.

Ok, I might work on the ability to set the maintenance modes per threshold. Its just not at the top of list at the moment.
