Hello,
Currently I am trying to extend the functionality of the existing “SNMP – Interface Statistics” data query. I would like to incorporate extended error graphing into the existing “In/Out Errors/Discarded Packets” graph templates.
The “interface.xml” has been changed to incorporate the appropriate entries. When I modify the appropriate “Associated Graph Templates” from the “Data Queries” screen I cannot select the new “Data Source” from the drop down menu. Now when I add a router with new interfaces it displays the values for the extend errors in the interface tables, but I cannot add them to my graph templates. What am I missing?
Thank you.

Did you create a data template for the added oid's?
You will also have to alter the graph templates.

No, I copied the "Interface - Errors/Discards" data template and created an “Interface - Errors/Discards - Extended” template. From that point I added the new data source items. I know I would have to modify the graph templates, but I did not want to do that until the DS was pointed to the right OID.
PS I am running the latest version of cactid/cacti. Non-CVS.
