We keep preview mode and the Monitor tab running on TV screens above our desks. After a short period of time, they eventually time out and stop refreshing. I've tracked the time stamps of my initial refresh and then when it stops:
Start time: 7/17/17 10:53
End Time: 7/18/17 23:17
So roughly around 36 hours. After this, the screen will still be visible (but stuck) and the graphs don't update, the time scale stays stuck and no longer increments. As you can see, this defeats the purpose of the preview/monitor view since it should not require too much manual intervention.
We've tried a couple of different things to resolve the issue but obviously none of them have fixed the issue. We are currently running Cacti 1.1.6. Newer versions are available but none of the patch notes mention any stability fixes for screen timeouts.
Any help will be much appreciated!

Browser issue maybe? You aren't really giving us much to go on. You might check how much memory the browser is using afterwards to see if it there is a memory leak somewhere causing it to constantly eat up more ram. Either way, you might also try any of the browser addons that allow you to automatically refresh a page after 6 hours or so. That would help combat this.

Looks like the issue is due to memory leak.... If I leave the page running and watch the task manager (in Google Chrome, for instance) it will climb and climb until it reaches about 1,000,000 kb and just freeze up. Doing a refresh of the page doesn't clear the memory either.
