Re: Mysql Tuning.
They go into the my.cnf file in /etc/. Take care to make a backup just in case you blow things up. Changing the character codes is not easy. Best to start with a fresh install. But if you are not using a foreign language, then they can stay latin.
Before history, there was a paradise, now dust.
Re: Mysql Tuning.
It is a fresh install & I got these recommendations during installation. I have tried using edit my.cnf file but when I edit my.cnf file mysqld service will not be start.

# Disabling symbolic-links is recommended to prevent assorted security risks
symbolic-links=0
[mysqld_safe]
log-error=/var/log/mysqld.log
pid-file=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid

Re: Mysql Tuning.
Just add all the red variable to your my.cnf and the value should be same with recommended value.
like this
[mysqld]
max_heap_table_size=49M
max_allowed_packet=16777216
After you edit the my.cnf restart your mariadb service.

Re: Mysql Tuning.
Does the /resource/snmp_queries has the same permission as /cacti/scripts?
Re: Mysql Tuning.
It has the same permission as cacti/scripts. Screen shots are attached. Please review & guide.

Re: Mysql Tuning.
Hmmm that's weird, the permission is correct so I don't know why it gives error that it's not writable.
Re: Mysql Tuning.
I had the same problem. Disabling SELinux (setenforce 0) helped.
Re: Mysql Tuning.
