Re: windows spine
BTW, master, i'm new user here, if i may ask, what is the difference between CACTI in windows and linux? if we have quite big amount of boxes to monitor, will it be fine to use windows cacti? thank you.BSOD2600 wrote:Patience. its been uploaded now.
Re: windows spine
Cacti is OS independant. It utilizes a web server, php, mysql, rrdtool and optionally spine. Yes, typically linux systems offer better high end performance. Works just fine on Windows for those who are comfortable only with that OS.Kaisim wrote:what is the difference between CACTI in windows and linux? if we have quite big amount of boxes to monitor, will it be fine to use windows cacti? thank you.
Check out http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6206 for tips on high performance installations.

Re: windows spine
I have tried replacing files in Spine (v1.0.4) directory with latest compiled Spine (v1.1.4) downloaded from http://www.cacti.net/downloads/packages/Windows/ , but process stops working and get error logs.
Any other way of upgrading Spine version to latest ?
Installation details :
Windows 7 64 bit
Cacti Installation by : Windows Installer [Cacti 1.0.5]
Current Cacti Version : Cacti 1.1.5
