New to Cacti

Post by nationwide »

All,

Presently, I need to able to monitor traffic across the interfaces of a Cisco 821 router. I am able to get the CPU stats, snmpwalk retreives stats, however I do not know how to get Cacti to graph the Ethernet and WAN interfaces.

I am completely new to this, and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi all i am also having the same issues, though i have been able to get the ethernet interface to graph.

My issue is that i am unable to get the dialer interfaces to graph thoug in the create graphs section of cacti it shows these interfaces and there ip addresses so it must be getting something from SNMP.

Is there any fox for this or an expansion to cacti that will allow this graphing?

I am using version 0.8.6c.

Interface graphing is the key thing cacti does.

I hate even saying this, but read the documentation. Interface graphing is covered in there pretty well.

On a side note, make sure that your SNMP on the device you are trying to graph is configured and you are able to access it. If you get a SNMP Error at the top of the Device Edit screen, then SNMP is probably not configured right, or there is something else blocking access.
