Hello,
I'm using Cacti for months without issues, essentially for interface traffic statistics.
I'm now trying to have interfaces status (up/down), to track ports that are not used.
I've installed these new graphs and followed this howto:
https://kb.groundworkopensource.com/dis ... tus+checks
I have new graphs, but they are difficult to interpret (I though having only 2 values : 1 or 0 for Up or Down), see the screenshot below:
What do I have to configure these graphs in order to have only 2 values?
Thanks for your help!

Re: Graph for Interface Status
You need to change the datasource to a "GAUGE" instead of a "COUNTER".
Gauges are for things like temperatures ( where the data is always showing the current state )
Counters are for interface statistics ( where the octect counter is increased continuesly )

I have the same issue too... It was working for some time.. Nothing was touched.. And suddenly, it started to graph all weird...
Confirmed that the data source is set to GAUGE and not COUNTER.
Any other ideas?

Re: Graph for Interface Status
Did you import other template ?
Because when you do that it can change some other base definition, like CDEF, RRA definition, that you are not aware of!

Re: Graph for Interface Status
Ahhh!! It overwrites it! Thanks for the heads up.. I didn't know that..
Having said that, I re-imported the same interface operational status template but it's still not restored to normal...
How does it take effect? Do I need to rebuild the poller cache?

Re: Graph for Interface Status
Thank you so much Rno! I got it to work!
I made the changes that you suggested, but it wasn't working still.. I re-imported the template and then noticed the data source ifOperStatus (status) now selected and available in the drop down.. I then rebuilt the poller cache.. Still no luck..
I had to restart the server and then it started to graph properly again...
Thank you so much for your help Sir!! You've been a great help!
