Hello,
I had been running an early beta version of Cacti 1.0 for a while now and I've tried upgrading to Cacti 1.0.3. All of Cacti's upgrade prerequisites were green and the database upgrade appeared to function successfully. I'm running into an issue now, however, where the graph tree is blank.
Here are some of the symptoms:
- 'Management' -> 'Devices' shows my existing tree within the 'Choose an action' dropdown box
- If I remove the tree from the database table 'graph_tree', the tree is no longer available within the 'Choose an action' dropdown box within 'Management' -> 'Devices'
- 'Management' -> 'Trees' indicates that it is 'Showing All 1 Trees' but the list says 'No Trees Found'
- Creating a new tree within 'Management' -> 'Trees' does not show it on the list
- 'Graphs' -> 'Tree Mode' shows no available trees
- Clearing the cache on the browser and trying an alternative browser did not solve the problem
- Cacti otherwise appears to be functioning just fine
Is this an issue from running an early build of version 1.0? What other troubleshooting steps could I perform?
I've attached screenshots to visually show the symptoms.

Re: Cacti 1.0.3 - Graph Tree Missing
After reviewing further, I believe this is due to the SQL database tables not being updated. Will I have to drop the database and start over or is there a method to bring the database up to the version it needs to be?
Re: Cacti 1.0.3 - Graph Tree Missing
There were no SQL changes required between 1.0.0 and 1.0.3, you would appear to have a different issue. Mind doing an export of graph_tree?
Re: Cacti 1.0.3 - Graph Tree Missing
Thank you for the information, cigamit. The server was upgraded from a version of 0.8.8 (I forget which variant) to an early beta of 1.0. That early beta must not have incorporated the changes to the tree that was found in the production version of 1.0.0.
Investigating further, I noticed the graph_tree table was missing some columns which made me think that the database was out of date. I ran ./cacti/cli/upgrade_database.php --forcever=0.8.8h from the terminal and the tree is now populating.
I've attached my list of database tables after upgrading from the beta version of 1.0.0 to 1.0.3 verses a new 1.0.3 database.
