Vlans on this soft?

Post by romain29 »

Hi everybody!

I have a question before install this soft.
Is it possible to see the equipment in detail? I want to see all the vlans on the router, in order to make an "inventory" of the vlans.

Thanks

A french friend. :)

Pure routers are not vlan aware devices, are you referring to L3 capable switches? The mactrack plugin has some more detailed vlan functionality/visibility than the base cacti does.

It is possible to SNMP query vlan interfaces (which are L3 gateways to vlans) on many routers with base cacti install, and also service instances on cisco routers. The stock cisco router device template has this ability currently.

That type of router are you going to be polling?

Hi! Thank you for your answer!

In fact I want to have a list of ports grouped in vlan.
Not necessarily on L3, I just want to see the ports and their respective vlan.
The WhatsUP solution does this already but only on one equipment at a time.

So I'd like a list, sorted by VLANS.
(We have Extreme Networks switches)

I do not know if I am very clear, do not hesitate to tell me :)

I believe what you are looking for would be the mactrack plugin then.
