Cacti 1.0.0 New Installation

Thanks for providing us with version 1.0.0!


I have a very old (but working) installation of Cacti, however I want to restart from scratch with version 1.0.0 (since a lot of servers in our config are outdated and want to start fresh).

What Operating System (and version) do you recommend for Cacti 1.0.0 is someone starts from scratch nowadays?
Centos 6.x or 7.x, Ubuntu 16.4 or 16.10 or Debian ...?

Since I have to reinstall a server, it doesn't matter for me what OS to install.
I can as well take the OS that is best supported / that has been tested the most / that has minimal configuration issues ...

Its really a matter of preference for what you are comfortable with, but most of my testing when developing has been on Centos 7.
