Paid Support on Netgear Router

Post by browndog »

Does anyone offer paid support? I'm having trouble receiving SNMP data from a Netgear router.
********************************************************
+ Running data query [1].
+ Found type = '3' [SNMP Query].
+ Found data query XML file at '/usr/share/cacti/site/resource/snmp_queries/interface.xml'
+ XML file parsed ok.
+ Executing SNMP get for num of indexes @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.1.0' Index Count:
+ Executing SNMP walk for list of indexes @ '.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1' Index Count: 0
+ No SNMP data returned

Thanks in Advance

I received a MIB file but it needs to be in a XML format. Does anyone have one of these for a NetGear WAG102 or can I get help converting one to XML?
The form will not allow me to load it.

Thanks in Advance

Cacti doesn't really use MIBs per say (we the the OID numbers). Also there is no MIB to XML, our XML files are something that are completely different.

You first just need to go through some troubleshooting of the device. Is SNMP enabled on it, and is the device host status as up in Cacti? Have you attempted to do an SNMP Walk of the device to see what data it is returning?

You can also post the MIB file here, and we can look through it and verify that it does indeed support traffic counters on the default OIDs.

The Host Status is up and SNMP is enabled on the device. See attached MIB.
