Nectar not sending e-mails (edit: yes it is..)

Post by Gluntzmaster »

Hi Guys,

Preview looks fine, text item and graph item both are displayed.
Upon hitting "Send Report" the browser I'm working with shows a blank page. Nothing happens mail-wise.
Tried several browsers, Safari, Chrome, Firefox.

I'm running tail-f on mail.log and syslog, no related entries show up.
Cacti log shows:
10/15/2016 08:00:07 PM - SYSTEM Sending NECTAR Report to Email to: <leo@his mail address> ', with Subject: 'Nectar Report'

.. so by all accounts, Nectar is feeling very content.
However, instead of pointing the mail towards postfix it seems to send it to a black hole.
Btw, until installing Nectar I did not have any smtp service running. Installed Postfix and mailutils, verified that I could send e-mails from the CLI, so this all seems in order.

Linux Scorcher 3.13.0-98-generic #145-Ubuntu SMP Sat Oct 8 20:13:07 UTC 2016 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux
Running Cacti 0.8.8.b
Nectar 0.35a

EDIT:
Problem was between chair and computerscreen.
This is what you get when you're tinkering on a system that has been over-tinkered.
Wiped the disk, punt a fresh Ubuntu on it, installed LAMP components, Installed and tested Postfix, installed cacti-spine etc.. everything is fine, the World makes sense again.

Take care,
Leo
