newbie - how do i get to the management console?

Post by ike »

I installed on ubuntu using the command get-apt install cacti and everything was successful.

Now I want to start using the application and when I read through the manual it doesn't have anything about how I start this app and add devices.

thanks,

Cacti is a web app, so open your web browser and point to the computers IP address. We don't package the ubuntu package, so I don't know if it puts it in a /cacti/ folder or not.

Got it, thanks.

I did check, I neglected if the default port was being used by some other app.

I'm going to spin off a clean vm and do the install so that should work.

After I reinstalled new ubuntu and then installed cacti successfully, how do I get the cacti's home page or console page?

I open the localhost in the browser and all I get to is the Apache 2 Ubuntu Default Page.

Thanks,
ik.
