Cacti - WeatherMap - Link - Always Grey

Folks,

I am trying to build weathermap for my company network. After creating everything in weathermap (Nodes, Link, etc) I can see the graphs gets hover whenever on the link but the link always shows grey in color and 0%. It seems like it doesn't show the traffic flow. I assume if i can see hover graph, then datasource, Info url, Hover url should be fine.

Also i see this error in logs

Not sure, but AFAIK weathermap TARGET works only with two or less datasources.

This is failing because you are list 3 DS names on one target. There can only be two.

This is failing because you don't list *any* DS names, so the defaults are used, which are traffic_in and traffic_out. That's correct for a cacti traffic graph. It is not correct for your custom graph. Weathermap is telling you the names of the DS inside your rrd file. You need to added two of those to the target.

but by default DS need to report
traffic_in, traffic_out

so in front of your DS you have to put the name you want to use

but then that will sum up the 3 DS

Wow that's a great explanation. So it looks like no way i could use 3 DS in weathermap. I am trying now with 2 and update you folks how it worked.

What are you expecting weathermap to do with the third one?

It takes one to use for the 'in' part of a link, and another one for the 'out' side of a link. Where are you expecting this third DS to be used?

If you just want all these 3 numbers to be added up and used as a single value, you can do that. Otherwise, I'm a bit confused what you are trying to achieve. I don't see why you'd want to add the max and avg values of the same thing, which seems to be what your DSes are.

Attached is the graph am trying to add in weathermap. As you can see the graphs have three datasource to make it complete. Ths graph is not exactly related to inbound/outbound traffic. Saying that "sandvine_info_max" acts as a threshold for the graphs so I used the rest two DS as target and its works now.
