Cacti Error and MySQL root password

Hi,

Our cacti application is continuously dumping following error in cacti.log

07/20/2016 05:49:12 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] ERROR: SQL Assoc Failed!, Error:'1017', SQL:"select poller_output.output, poller_output.time, UNIX_TIMESTAMP(poller_output.time) as unix_time, poller_output.local_data_id, poller_item.rrd_path, poller_item.rrd_name, poller_item.rrd_num from (poller_output,poller_item) where (poller_output.local_data_id=poller_item.local_data_id and poller_output.rrd_name=poller_item.rrd_name) LIMIT 10000"


Due to this there is no data in graphs.

I am unable to proceed further in troubleshooting this issue because we lost the MySQL "root" password.

Can anyone know what will be the impact of changing MySQL root password on Cacti Application?

Any ideas on how to fix the above error?
