[NOT FOUND] Cacti Log File

Hello, i have a problem with http://ip/cacti/install/index.php

Note that I 've reinstalled the system many times.

In this page, i have this error :

[NOT FOUND] Cacti Log File Path: The path to your Cacti log file.
/usr/share/cacti/log/cacti.log
[ERROR: FILE NOT FOUND]

I searched the file to other place , without success.

I followed this tutorial step by step :

For informations : CentOS 6.8 and cacti version 0.8.8h from repo el6

Have you an idea for this ?

Create the file, and give it permissions so your web server can access it.

I think it is a symbolic link ? Have you an example to give proper permissions ?

chown apache:apache /usr/share/cacti/log/cacti.log
chmod 755 /usr/share/cacti/log/cacti.log

Thank you for your help.
Now I can monitor my localhost. However all my hosts are unknown status but the snmp works . Is this still a problem of access to a file?

I use the poller cmd.php.

Suspect either your cacti unable to ping your targeted host (drop the packet) or your cacti cannot ping out (either cacti's system firewall or your targeted host firewall blocking it)

chown apache:apache /usr/share/cacti/log/cacti.log
chmod 755 /usr/share/cacti/log/cacti.log
