SNMPWalk multiple values from OID

Post by rightclick »

I have been trying to follow http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=30182 to graph multiple values from one OID. Our switches provide fan status of 1 if they are okay and 6 if the fan has a problem.

Normally we used the precanned functions of Cacti so we have not needed to use the script function before. I ftp'd the script to the scripts folder of my Cacti server.

Here is one weird thing that is happening. I can pull data from the switches using the cacti software. When I try to use snmpwalk by SSH'ing into the Cacti server I get a Unauthorized message on my switch.

How can I best troubleshoot if cacti is pulling data from my switch. I am not sure if the script is working or not.

I am also getting errors like these in the log file

06/07/2016 04:04:01 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] ERROR: There are no RRA's assigned to local_data_id: 704.
