snmp error

Post by chisler »

Hi All,

I new to this stuff, so hopefully it's and easy fix.

I've installed the appliance, but whenever I install a new device it throws an snmp error.

I've looked in the log, but it's empty. Changed logging to medium, still nothing in the log.

Turned the firewall off, but this made no difference.

Version is 0.8.8f

Cheers

SNMP access is enabled on the devices? Credentials are valid? Try snmpwalk from command line to verify SNMP access.

Yes, snmp is enabled not sure what you mean by credentials valid (where?) I've enabled snmp on windows 2012 server logon is Local System account. When I run the snmpwalk, it times out and no responce from the server.

Post your snmp community and the walk command you just ran.
