enable only ports that cacti use

Post by mazurka »

Hi,

May we know all the ports needed on cacti. Currently we are planning on disabling all ports that not needed using iptables and enable only the ports needed. We already verified the listening ports, unfortunately, all devices monitor down when we config all the ports that we see as listening.

-thanks!

Actually I already allow ICMP, SNMP, and other ports that uses on cacti, but upon checking on devices the status of my monitoring was down.

Anyway thanks for the reply, I already able to execute the rules and eliminate the issue of devices that down. I change my rule and added loopback and it seems it works as all my device as of this moment are still up.
