I don't want to create SPAM filter in my email address I need to send these email directly in my INBOX folder. kindly guide me How can i do it ?
Also I need to know which email method is used by Threshold plugin by default ? Is it sendmail or mail etc ? I'm noob in this plugin.

Re: SPAM Email
Goto:
Console -> Settings -> Mail / DNS
There's a "From Email Adress" field there.

Re: SPAM Email
I configure email setting there & also Send a Test email. New window pop up & successfully message shown. But emails are not using those settings. Thresholds uses its own email setting fromphalek wrote:Goto:

Default Alerting Options
Syslog Level = Warning
Syslog Facility = Daemon
From Dropdown menu different Syslog Facility are available. But I don't know how to use these Syslog Facility.

Re: SPAM Email
Yes you're right, Thold has it's own "From Email Adress" setting. Long time that I looked at that page ...
The syslog function is only relevant if you are splitting/filtering the messages on your syslog server.
It's not relevant for email.

But using these email settings, alert email are marked as SPAM in google & other email account, also blocked at my office email server. My boss says email filter is not a good practice, you need to find out other solution.
I also search on other forum but not get useful solution, someone told me that you need to create TLS Authentication method. I have some basic knowledge about it. But I don't know how to use it in my cacti server using Centos 7.0.1406 (Core).
Any other idea ? or how can i use TLS Authentication method in cacti email alert ?
