[SOLVED]Can't install syslog plugin under 0.8.8g

[epicfail]

Whenever I try to install the syslog plugin I get many Error 2006 lines in the log. I followed all the instructions (as well as installing it on another Cacti machine before)

Any ideas?

EDIT: I'm an idiot, I had one_file_per_innodb variable in my my.cnf and was trying to create a partitioned table.
