Hi all,
I am new to Cacti and have been searching to a solution for my problem, but haven't been able to find it.
The problem is that when Cacti pings our hardware it will send us an email alert, but only a single one. I would prefer to be able to set Cacti to send us a down alert once every 24 hours if the down state isn't resolved.
Is this possible?
Our Default Trigger Count is set to 1 and Re-Alerting is set to 12 cycles, but I'm not sure how long a cycle is or where to change that setting. I thought maybe the Poller/Cron Intervals would dictate the cycle length, but they are set to every minute so if that was the case I should be receiving alert emails every 12 minutes when a piece of hardware is down.
Can anyone offer some insight in how to get this to work the way I want it to?
The help is much appreciated!

Look into the Thold or monitor plugins. http://docs.cacti.net/plugins
| Scripts: Monitor processes | RFC1213 MIB | DOCSIS Stats | Dell PowerEdge | Speedfan | APC UPS | DOCSIS CMTS | 3ware | Motorola Canopy |
| Guides: Windows Install | [HOWTO] Debug Windows NTFS permission problems |

Thanks for the reply BSOD!
I do believe I have the thold plugin installed, but am not able to configure it correctly. I've attached a picture of my thold settings (notification email omitted) to see if maybe someone can help me understand how to achieve my goal.
