Cannot send report using Nectar

Using the following:
Ubuntu 12.04
Cacti Version: 0.8.8f
Plugin Architecture Version: 3.1
Nectar 0.34 (have tried the newer releases as well)

I can send mail fine from other plugins, such as Thold, but cannot get Nectar to send a report, i keep getting the following error:
Problems sending Nectar Report ''New Report''. Problem with e-mail Subsystem Error is 'SMTP Host rejected from address: 501 5.1.7 Invalid address '

Through checking my Exchange SMTP logs i noticed what the issue is. All other SMTP activity from Cacti uses the following format for addresses ryan@mail.com but with Nectar it does the following 'ryan@mail.com'. When saving a report i've noticed that every time i click save the email address is surrounded by ' on beginning and end, thus causing the send error. Any input on how to change this is much appreciated.
