Hello everyone,
I am working on a single-page alerting pane for the wall in our NOC.
I have a working map, but the load-to-browser size is around 17mb, wondering how that compares with other users large maps?
How large is your weathermap?

Re: How large is your weathermap?
Mine are mostly in the 2-500KB range, for full HD sized maps (1920x1080), but they aren't very dense compared to many that appear on here.
You do have the option of JPEG instead of PNG. The lossy compression isn't *always* noticeable... that is in the Cacti..Settings..Misc page.

Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Re: How large is your weathermap?
I guess I'm doing a great deal of OVERLIB graph pointing and INFOURL. My output folder for the map looks like this:
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 13M Jan 26 11:38 3920c69daf11e0753edb.html
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 48K Jan 26 11:38 3920c69daf11e0753edb.png
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 14K Jan 26 11:38 3920c69daf11e0753edb.thumb.png
It doesn't look like much of that is redundant if I want to provide the functionality this way.

Wow! I assumed you mean the *image* was 17MB
Could you PM the HTML file? There's probably some duplication that can be improved on...
