Clear poller cache -> Fatal error

Post by SAS »

When I want to clear the poller cache, I have each time a fatal error because the maximum execution time exeted 30 secondes and cacti indicate the error at different php_file and line at each time.
Is anyone have the same probleme?

Please upgrade to 0.8.6c and apply the patches in http://www.cacti.net/downloads/patches/ ... re-patched Please patch using the file process unless you have hacked Cacti. Following these steps will correct your problems.

Sorry should have added that was already running ver 8.6c and using cactid as well. Tried changing the max execution time to 90 but still no difference. Quick question do i need to also stop scheduled task for php before doing this option?

thanks

I would recommend that you disable the poller from the UI under "Settings->Poller" and then verify that it is not running prior to execution.

If you are running all the latest patches, Cacti will wait indefinately for the poller cache to clear. Please review <path_cacti>/utilities.php for more information as this is the patched file. So, there may be something else going on.

Host 7 is crapped. Please edit it and correct the hostname field.

Code: Select all

04/21/2005 02:30:16 PM - CACTID: Poller[0] Host[7] ERROR: Empty result [S “Server”.domainname.com]: 'cscript C:/cacti/scripts/memutils.vbs //nologo /S S “Server”.domainname.com /G PercentFree'

I edited the hostname it is correct in the original log file. That is exactly except for my editing of the domain name what the log file is showing. I can give you a bigger log file to look at today but this all just started happening other day. No new graph templates where added to these devices only thing new added prior to this issue is a couple more devices where added to Cacti. When go look at the data files it appears now that some of them are not updating their data. Any ideas what can cause devices to stop updating their data? If there is anything more you need to help me work this out just ask and will send you the relevent data.

thanks

OK finally found out what has been causing all these issues with partial results and so forth. It appears some of the devices hvae lost their OIDs and therefore not able to poll these devices for information where there is no OID. Not sure what the cause of the missing random OIDs. Is there a way to clear SNMP cache as it appears there are quite a few devices which are missing OIDs? IF the SNMP cache is cleared will it recreate itself again? If not how can i recreate it with out loosing any of the data already gathered by Cacti

thanks

As far as I can tell, you have already done that by running the Clear Poller Cache. Yes, it needs to be renamed, it really clears and builds it again.

The problem is after clearing the poller cache it still shows devices with no OIDs for certain things that it is polling for and also now some of the graphs are showing -1 now when before they where actually graphing.

You have lost association with your templates. This is a bad thing. There must have been some change. I can look at it, but not until next week.

Send a dump to my private message area and I will look at it.
