The firewall needs to be reachable via SNMP to get the interface data. Is that the case ?
Other question would be: Can you actually ping these outside interfaces from the smokeping box ?

Re: Smokeping Plugin
I get the SNMP information of the firewall in Cacti - that means the Cacti server reaches the firewall.
Is it also necessary that the Smokeping server reaches the firewall via SNMP? I think no.
I can actually ping the outside interfaces because on the Smokeping server I can see the graphs for the interfaces.
Thank you for your support.
Awfully nice.

Re: Smokeping Plugin
SNMP is not necessary on the smokeping server. It's just required for the plugin to go out to the device and fetch the interfaces.
It's using the same code as if you added the SNMP Interface Query to the device and selected the different interfaces to being monitored.
So if that's working, the page shouldn't just go blank.
Any php error log entries ? ( enable php error logging by adding a "error_log = syslog" to php.ini and restart apache )

Re: Smokeping Plugin
Monitoring of the interface is working.
I get no errors. Neither in the error.log of the Apache nor in the syslog after enabling error_log = syslog of the Cacti server.....
Weird....
