Per Prefix (IP Block) Bandwidth Graph

Post by kzobair »

Dear Experts,

I need bandwidth graph for a client based on prefixes he is announcing to me. The client is connected via BGP. Client is announcing 3 prefixes for example x.x.x.0/24, y.y.y.0/24 & z.z.z.0/24. Client wants to see his bandwidth consumption per prefix. Is it possible via Cacti?

Only if the prefixes are on separate interfaces. Cacti is only using SNMP to graph overall interface counters.

The preferred solution for you would be Netflow.

If messages would suffice ... you could pull those stats per BGP peer.

If your device utilizes the BGP4-MIB and you want message stats, look here:
bgpPeerEntry

(scroll down at the following URL to see the nodes below bgpPeerEntry, including bgpPeerInTotalMessages)
