Moving from Windows non-VM to Windows VM Issues

Post by mhassan »

Hi Everyone,

We are trying to backup and restore the SQL database from a Windows non-VM box to a Windows box.
We are noticing the following errors:

-> mysql -u cactiuser -p 5fMD1qeHZH Cacti < c:cacti.sql
-> \go
ERROR 1064 (42000): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that
corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'o
mysql -u cactiuser -p 5fMD1qeHZH Cacti < c:cacti.sql' at line 1

The original non-VM was running SQL version 5.0 and this is running version 5.6.
Any help would be much appreciated! If you need more info, please let us know.

Best,
-Mohammad

Code: Select all

c:cacti.sql
That is where your issue most likely is. That isn't a valid path.
