Cacti with Alert Room Avtech 3E

Post by pierdj »

Good morning, I apologize if my English school ... let me know if you can see the temperature of my device which controls the temperature as the Avtech Alert Room ... obviously the device is designed for the snmp. unfortunately I do not see any template available for creating graphs of temperature .. can you help me?

Thank you

I dont have a 3E but here are the templates I created for my 7E and 4E AVTech devices. I would guess the 3E is similar.
Note that there is no scan type sequence of OID like in switches, so each monitoring channel has its own data query and graph template.
These are exported host template files from an 0.8.8f version of cacti hope it helps you.

I believe that templates are not backward compatible. If your not planning to update your cacti here are the details for the 4E and 7E devices hope you can interpret enough detail to create your own 3E device.

First create a datasource for each channel

Data Source:-
Here are the main fields for a 4E
Avtech RoomAlert 4E - Sensor 1 C
|host_description| - Sensor 1 C
Get SNMP Data

Data Source Item:-
Temp_1C
Gauge

Custom Data:-
.1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.6.1.1.1.2.0

Repeat above for all channels each in a new data source but with different oid values for each one
Note C and F swapped between 1 and 2 here but that's how it works.
4E 1F= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.6.1.1.1.1.0
4E 1C= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.6.1.1.1.2.0
4E 2C= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.6.1.2.1.1.0
4E 2F= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.6.1.2.1.2.0

4E digital= 1 .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.6.1.3.1.0

These are the oid for 7E, just walk your own device to check the oid values returned.
7E 1C= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.2.1.1.1.0
7E 2C= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.2.1.1.2.0
7E 3C= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.2.1.1.3.0
7E 4C= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.2.1.1.4.0
7E 1F= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.2.1.1.5.0
7E 2F= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.2.1.1.6.0
7E 3F= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.2.1.1.7.0
7E 4F= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.2.1.1.8.0

7E digital 1= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.2.1.2.1.0
7E digital 2= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.2.1.2.2.0
7E digital 3= .1.3.6.1.4.1.20916.1.2.1.2.3.0

Now create a graph template to use each data source see screenshot.

Now create a host template for each sensor and add the required graph templates sources.

Finally add device to cacti and select the new host template.
