The syslog plugin is only spawning one MySQL thread on my server, and that is causing one of my CPU cores to be maxed at 100% all day long. does anyone know if it is possible to spawn multiple threads so that I can improve overall server performance? This is causing the rest of Cacti to have long response times and my syslog entries are a half hour old. When I first started they were showing up within three minutes or so. I am using rsyslog on a CentOS 6.5 64-bit server with mysql-server 5.1.73-3.el6_5. I am currently working on a CentOS 7 replacement.
Using iostat I confirmed that the bottleneck is not the hard drive.
Thank you ahead of time for your help.

Ahem, I forgot to mention that I am running Cacti 0.8.8b-5.el6 from the EPEL repository. If any further information is needed please let me know.
