Cacti for Esxi

Post by arnoldkcentos »

Hello,
http://www.hypervisor.fr/wp-content/upl ... 1/esxi.xml
http://www.hypervisor.fr/wp-content/upl ... 1/esxi.zip

Above 2 have been promising looks , with all my search on the forum.

Have some used these ? Please guide steps. Looks the Author is French ( i saw forrum Qs passwd is hardcoded in the xlm?) , I am getting sense cacti developers are not keen on esxi monitoring :(

One of the things like :

Subscription of RAM/CPU
RDY values

These things no one has covered.

Any help will be appreciated.

i used that. Its good.

But has limitation of host level monitoring

No cluster level stuff

Does not shows RDY or over subscription tho :(

Thanks to reply

Again not sure why ppl do not want to use cacti for esxi ( that is the only 1 on official cacti forum )

in my last job i saw they had RDY in cacti ...but i did not bothered to make note who was author or where they got it from

Is that info exposed via SNMP? If yes, then you could assist the community by finding out where it hides, updated/creating new scripts for ESXi and then posting your results back into that main thread.

I responded to below

searched the cacti forums? ESXi 5.x template - no perl SDK, pure snmp

The one you mentioned is good.

I am not able to find other esxi templates tho
