I am new to the great syslog plugin. I have been collecting logs for a while now, and am seeing my disk/mysql db fill up. I am wondering how the deletion works? i have set it down progressively to get it to free up some space, but it still shows everything back to the beginning of time. I'm now at 1 week and everything is still there.
Is the deletion only run on a schedule, or is it run every time it collects incoming? How do I get it to do the garbage collection?

Re: Syslog event deletion?
I disabled and 'uninstalled' all other plugins (except settings) and let it run overnight. This did seem to allow syslog to perform the appropriate retention schedule overnight. I'm going to let it run a couple days in this way, and then start turning plugins back on one at a time and see which one is conflicting.

Re: Syslog event deletion?
It seem to syslog needs to be the first enabled plugin. The fix is simply to disable all the plugins, enable syslog first, and then enable the remaining plugins.
