Issue with graphs getting added multiple times

Post by A0565 »

Hi,

I am trying to graph VM interfaces on a remote machine and am doing this command to add the graph
root@new:~# php -q /var/www/cacti/cli/add_graphs.php --host-id=2 --snmp-query-id=1 --snmp-query-type-id=20 --snmp-field=ifName --snmp-value=vifvm1316.0 --graph-template-id=2 --graph-type=ds

Instead of adding one graph, it adds multiples, sometimes it adds 50 graphs for one interface and then none of the graphs show any data.

Graph Added - graph-id: (1106) - data-source-ids: (1109, 1109)
Graph Added - graph-id: (1107) - data-source-ids: (1110, 1110)
Graph Added - graph-id: (1108) - data-source-ids: (1111, 1111)
Graph Added - graph-id: (1109) - data-source-ids: (1112, 1112)
Graph Added - graph-id: (1110) - data-source-ids: (1113, 1113)
Graph Added - graph-id: (1111) - data-source-ids: (1114, 1114)
Graph Added - graph-id: (1112) - data-source-ids: (1115, 1115)

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Secondly, is there a way I can have cacti automatically grab new interface names and start graphing them without having to do this command each time I add a new VM?

Look at the Autom8 plugin:
