Problems cant run poller.php.

Post by ddochita »

Hello all, i have a big problem with cacti since a week,
I think something happend to my database.

When i run php poller.php i get this:

root:/srv/cacti# php poller.php
sh: line 1: -: command not found

an it hangs there, cacti.log doesn't say anything.

If i run: php cmd.php i get this:
#!/usr/bin/php -q
sh: line 1: -O: command not found
sh: line 1: -O: command not found
sh: line 1: -O: command not found
sh: line 1: -O: command not found
sh: line 1: -O: command not found
sh: line 1: -O: command not found
sh: line 1: -O: command not found
sh: line 1: -O: command not found
sh: line 1: -O: command not found
02/23/2005 03:15:55 PM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Time: 0.7825 s, Theads: N/A, Hosts: 10

I searched on the forum but didn't find anything like this.

I also tried to backup my mysql database and move it on another machine on a new cacti 0.8.6c, this one is 0.8.6.b but i have problems backing it up and restoring it.

when i try to back it up i do like this:
mysqldump -u root cacti > mysql.cacti -p

I enter the password and get this error:
mysqldump: Can't get CREATE TABLE for table `settings` (Can't open file: 'settings.MYI'. (errno: 145))

However the file mysql.cacti is created and everything seems to be ok with it.

I drop the database, i recreate it, and after that i load my back-up file on the new cacti installation.
mysql -u cacti cacti < mysql.cacti

It works fins, but when i try to reexecute poller.php i get the same errors.
Is it possible for the mysql database to be corrupted or something ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Ahh, one more thing, i forgot to post some informations about the server.

The system is running a Suse Linux Enterprise Server 8
php-4.3.4
apache-2.0.49-27.21
mysql-4.0.18-32

Everything worked great until one week ago on this system. I think that after the system update i started to have those problems.
