I have setup cacti for a number of devices and have grouped them into tree branches for easier viewing. I am using a double pane tree view. I have a need to have a web link to a branch in the tree, but when I attempted it, the thumbnails under that branch show up but the tree itself doesn't expand nor does it show what part of the tree those graphs reside. Is there a way for the left side to expand and show where the data is coming from that is being displayed on the right side?
I hope this makes sense but basically I have this
- subtree 1
------ branch 1
------ branch 2
- subtree 2
------ branch 3
------ branch 4
If I link to branch 3 from another webpage, for example, then my left pane will look like
+ subtree 1 (this will be highlighted)
+ subtree 2
and what I want is for it to look like
+ subtree 1 (or have this expanded, I don't care)
- subtree 2
------- branch 3 (have this highlighted)
------- branch 4
Please let me know if there is a way to do this and how. Otherwise I may just have to do something myself where I create an html webpage myself that shows all the items in the branch I'm interested in.
Linking to Branch in tree and having tree expand to it ?

Causing the branch to expand... Um....
If I recall correctly, the tree "status" is stored in a session variable. It knows what item you where on last. I can't recall if there is a URI option that will allow for expansion.
I would tell you to look at the graph_view.php file. Pay particular attention to the graph tree and the include javascript that makes it work.
Gluck
