Cisco Devices snmpv3 (sha/aes128) problem

Post by areast »

Dear All

Using Windows 2008R2 64bit and cacti 0.8.8c (php5.6.3 / net-snmp 5.6.1.1)
Some issue for few Cisco Devices could not work after SNMPV2 -> SNMPV3 (device could get snmp info and ping result but is shown status as "Down")
i am using cmd.php

Turn on debug mode and show below message ....What do that mean?
Downed Device Detection "Ping and SNMP Uptime"
Increase ping timeout value 3000 -> 15000
Ping Retry Count 2
Increase SNMP timeout 300 -> 15000
Maximum OID's Per Get Request 10
Would that be some kind of permission on those devices?

Just weird why this error"2006' will fail to poll with snmpv3 but not v2
Does mysqlcheck.exe --repair --database will fix this? or some SQL command will able to fix individual device
This time i debug and lookup with ID"1119" and show below error.

05/19/2015 02:41:35 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[1119] Description['Cisco Router] ERROR: HOST EVENT: Host is DOWN Message: Host did not respond to SNMP, ICMP Ping Success (28 ms)

MySQL error 1146 = table doesnt exist. Looks like you need to reinstall the manage plugin...

MySQL error 2006 - please take a read of the link and see if any of the suggestions apply to your environment.

c:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.6\bin>mysqlcheck.exe -u root -p --repair --database cacti
